CAMBRIDGE, MD — March 24, 2026 - On March 28, local Cambridge residents will come together with millions of Americans across the country in a nationwide day of nonviolent protest at the third No Kings National Day of Nonviolent Action. There are thousands of events nationwide.

Cambridge Indivisible will host a #NoKingsCambridge rally on Saturday, March 28 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the corner of Maryland Avenue and U.S. Route 50 in Cambridge, Maryland. The event is free and open to the public.

The rally will feature striking visuals. A towering 15-foot inflatable balloon depicts a pig in a suit and tie — wearing a crooked golden crown and clutching fistfuls of money — sitting atop and squishing a Maryland crab, representing the working people of the Eastern Shore. Alongside the balloon, organizers will display a bold hand-painted “NO KINGS” sign installation featuring a crossed-out crown. Both visuals are available for media photography.

“Our community is coming together to push back against authoritarian overreach,” said Michelle Fowle, co-chair of Cambridge Indivisible. “The crab under that balloon is us — the watermen, the nurses, the farmers, the working families of the Eastern Shore. We’re joining millions of Americans to send a clear message: we don’t do dictators or kings in America.”

No Kings is a mass, nonviolent movement that has already mobilized millions — from over five million participants on June 14, 2025 to over 7 million people joining 2,700+ events across all 50 states and the District of Columbia on October 18, 2025 — and is growing as communities unite to reject authoritarian power grabs and defend dignity and freedom.

We’re excited to join with other groups organizing the No Kings nonviolent protests across the country including ACLU, American Federation of Teachers, Common Defense, 50501, Human Rights Campaign, Indivisible, League of Conservation Voters, MoveOn, National Nurses United, Public Citizen, SEIU, among others.
